Rudy Hernandez is the director of event productions and one of the primary instructors at the RMH Productions and DanceSport Center. He has been involved in Ballroom Dancing since the age of twelve. Rudy has obtained many national titles as an instructor and competitor in Latin Dancing, including his greatest achievement of being ranked one of the top six Latin dancers in the United States and being ranked in the top three as a Pro/Am Teacher. His extensive knowledge of his craft, as well as his attention to detail and technique make him an excellent instructor. He accounts his success in the world of Ballroom Dancing to the following: First, continuing to educate himself with the latest in dance techniques and styles; and second, to lots of practice. Repetition makes dance movements second nature, and that requires daily rehearsal. This mindset is also incorporated into group classes, which makes classes at RMH DanceSport Center. Maria Esther Hernandez is the other primary instructor at the Center. She is a native of Whittier and has been studying dance since the age of four. She began her studies in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz; then took this solid background in dance technique to excel in Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, and Swing. She has won many local and national competitions as an amateur, and has experienced much success since joining the ranks of professionals.
